Pro Bono

We believe it is our obligation to contribute to the community in which we live and work. This is central to our firm’s core philosophy. And, to this end, we actively encourage our people to participate in pro bono legal work and other civic activities.

Why Pro Bono Work Is Important

Although the legal system is intended to offer fairness and justice to all citizens, many ordinary people cannot take advantage of this system because of a lack of knowledge and resources. Many of these people’s lives are turned upside down by legal problems that can be solved easily with proper legal representation. We believe that it is our ethical and moral obligation to help these people.

What We’re Doing About It

The firm has a pro-bono committee, which identifies and facilitates opportunities for the firm’s attorneys, paralegals and secretaries to participate in community service activities. We encourage our people to participate in civic activities and we annually present a Public Service Award to the employee who best embodies our firm’s spirit of public service.
