Thomas O. Johnston Recognized by New Jersey Law Journal 40 Under 40

Porzio, Bromberg & Newman P.C. is pleased to announce that New Jersey Law Journal has named Thomas O. Johnston to its 40 under 40 list of lawyers. The attorneys are selected based on achievements in their careers, recognition by peers and professional organizations, membership and leadership in bar and other associations, and records of lectures and publications. The 40 lawyers selected are viewed as the future leaders of the New Jersey bar.

Mr. Johnston is a principal of Porzio, Bromberg & Newman and he focuses his practice in Labor & Employment, School Law, Commercial Litigation and Redevelopment Law. He counsels private companies, schools and governmental bodies on general business and operational challenges.  Representing approximately ten charter schools, Mr. Johnston is a leading authority in the State on charter school law.

Mr. Johnston is a graduate of Rutgers University and received his J.D. in from The University of Notre Dame Law School.  He is a Graduate Fellow of Leadership New Jersey, an organization that prepares leaders to tackle the key issues shaping the future of the state to make it a better place to live and work.  Mr. Johnston is also a graduate of The International Association of Defense Counsel’s Trial Academy at Stanford University.  He is a member of the New Jersey State and Essex County bar associations and the Sidney Reitman Employment Law American Inn of Court.  Mr. Johnston serves as General Counsel to an affordable housing non-profit corporation, Start Easy Eagle Development Corporation.
