Porzio Welcomes Three Top Employment and Labor Attorneys

Lynne Anne Anderson, William R. Horwitz and Jerrold J. Wohlgemuth have joined the Employment and Labor Department of Porzio, Bromberg & Newman P.C., according to an announcement from D. Jeffrey Campbell, Managing Principal of the firm.  Ms. Anderson joins the firm as a Principal, with Mr. Horwitz as Counsel and Mr. Wohlgemuth as Of Counsel.  All are former members of the Employment and Labor Practice Group of Sills Cummis & Gross.  In announcing the trio’s move to Porzio, Mr. Campbell states, “The addition of this skilled group of attorneys is in keeping with the firm’s Strategic Plan goals of broadening and diversifying our client base and expanding our existing capabilities.”

Ms. Anderson is a Martindale-Hubbell AV-rated lawyer who concentrates her practice in multiple areas of employment law, including defense of management in employment litigation, strategic counseling, restrictive covenant disputes and reductions in force.  Ms. Anderson is recognized by Chambers USA 2008 and 2009 as a leading New Jersey labor and employment attorney.  She has also been listed in The Best Lawyers in America since 2007 and New Jersey Super Lawyers since its inception in 2005.  Additionally, Ms. Anderson has been chosen as a Fellow in Litigation Counsel of America, a Trial Lawyer Honorary Society.

Ms. Anderson is a graduate of Rutgers University School of Law – Camden and Mount Holyoke College.   She is admitted to practice in New Jersey and is a member of the American Bar Association and the New Jersey Bar Association.  Ms. Anderson is also a member of the American Employment Law Council.

Mr. Horwitz, who served as a prosecutor with the Queens County District Attorney’s Office, concentrates his practice in the areas of employment litigation and counseling.  He is experienced in litigating employment-related claims including sexual harassment, discrimination and breach of contract.  Mr. Horwitz has extensive experience handling matters involving trade secrets and the enforcement of restrictive covenants. He counsels clients on employment related issues and the prevention of workplace disputes.   Mr. Horwitz negotiates and drafts contracts and employment policies.  He received his J.D. from Emory University School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Michigan.  Mr. Horwitz is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York.

Mr. Wohlgemuth focuses his practice on the representation of corporate and healthcare clients in all aspects of labor and employment law, including defending allegations of discrimination, wrongful discharge and alleged violations of family leave, whistleblower, equal pay, wage and hour, and other statutes.  He also handles ERISA claims for benefits and claims based on collective bargaining agreements. Mr. Wohlgemuth has extensive appellate practice experience in both state and federal courts.  He is a graduate of Catholic University of America – Columbus School of Law and Cornell University ILR School.  He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York.
