Prominent Republican Lobbyist, Barbara DeMarco, Joins Porzio Governmental Affairs, LLC

Barbara DeMarco has been named Vice President of Porzio Governmental Affairs, LLC (PGA), one of New Jersey’s top ten lobbying firms. In her new position, Ms. DeMarco will continue to represent the needs of her current clientele of horseracing, childcare and special needs interest groups. Porzio Governmental Affairs’ current diverse client base will also benefit from Ms. DeMarco’s lobbying expertise.
According to D. Jeffrey Campbell, President and CEO of PGA, “As New Jersey transitions to new leadership, Porzio must expand our existing capabilities. With the addition of Ms. DeMarco, we will be able to more effectively advance the interests of current and potential clients who are impacted by state government.”
Prior to joining PGA, Ms. DeMarco worked as an independent governmental affairs consultant and lobbyist. She also served as Vice President of Marketing and Communication for Nancy H. Becker Associates and Director of Legislative and Advocacy Services for the ARC of New Jersey. In addition, she served as an aide to Governor Thomas H. Kean and as a legislative analyst with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. Ms. DeMarco has extensive campaign experience on the national, state, county and local levels. Her strong advocacy on behalf of New Jersey’s agricultural community, coupled with her knowledge of gaming and the impact of regional competition on New Jersey’s casino and horseracing industry, have made her a prominent speaker and author in this area. She presently serves on the Governor’s Commission to Study Horse Racing – Working Group on Gaming at the Tracks.

Ms. DeMarco holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dickinson College and is pursuing her Master’s Degree in Public Policy and Administration at Rutgers University. She was the 1997 recipient of the Hun School's "Alumna of the Year" award and is also a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Princeton Area Alumni Association.
