Porzio Successfully Obtains No Cause Verdict in $5 million Civil Suit
July 01, 2010
Porzio, Bromberg & Newman P.C. congratulates Michael L. Rich and C. John DeSimone, III for obtaining a no cause verdict for a client following a two and a half week jury trial. The case was tried before the Honorable Robert L. Polifroni, J.S.C. and a jury of seven Bergen County residents. The suit was brought by a commercial landlord who claimed that Porzio's client agreed to a modification of its commercial lease, which would have committed the client to a $5 million obligation. The jury deliberated for approximately one hour and came back with a unanimous verdict against the plaintiff and in favor of Porzio's client.
