Georgetown Law Student Recipient of Porzio's $5000 Diversity Scholarship

Porzio, Bromberg & Newman, P.C. (“Porzio”), recently awarded its $5000 annual diversity scholarship to Amanda L. Hernandez, a first-year law student attending the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. The scholarship supports the development of a first-year law student who embodies academic excellence, leadership, community service and a commitment to advancing diversity in the legal profession.
Amanda, who is from Milford, New Jersey graduated summa cum laude from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Political Science. While attending Rutgers, she was a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, the Delta Epsilon Iota Honors Society, the Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honors Society and the Kappa Tau Alpha Journalism Honors Society. At Georgetown, Amanda was the recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship and she is an active member of the Latin American Law Students Association.
Porzio’s diversity scholarship is open to a New Jersey resident first-year law student attending an ABA accredited law school with a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.3. Applicants are required to complete an application and submit an undergraduate transcript, a law school transcript, a resume, and an essay.
