Porzio Honored for Public Service by CASA

May 17, 2012

Porzio, Bromberg & Newman P.C. was honored on May 18 by the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Morris and Sussex Counties during its celebration of  25 years of service.  The event took place at the Brooklake Country Club in Florham Park with more than 200 guests and supporters of CASA.

CASA is a non-profit organization committed to training volunteers from the community to advocate for the best interests of children removed from their homes by the courts due to abuse, neglect or abandonment.

Porzio was one of three honorees recognized for its dedication to CASA.   Lisa Bromberg, a principal of the firm and current member of the Board of Trustees of CASA of Morris and Sussex Counties, accepted the award on behalf of Porzio.

Dr. Lisa Barsky Firkser, CASA Executive Director stated that “During our first 25 years, CASA trained 1,000 volunteers who helped bring better tomorrows to more than 4,000 children who were victims of their environment. We couldn’t have done it without the support of passionate community leaders whose long-time generosity and commitment supported CASA’s mission.  We salute them for taking a stand and making a difference in the lives of children.”
