People-centric

“In 2008, we established two significant outreach programs: the Porzio Fellowship, which funds a Rutgers-Newark first-year law student in a public service summer position, and the Porzio Scholarship, which will provide financial aid to a first-year law student. I am excited about our implementation of meaningful, lasting programs that will impact real people.”
CAROLE T. MECCA
DIRECTOR OF ATTORNEY SERVICES

We believe that our competitive strength depends upon our development and support of a diverse workforce. The firm seeks to employ people with different approaches, life experiences and perceptions. We value disparate viewpoints because diversity strengthens our understanding, creativity and insight.

Porzio recruits from a wide talent base and strives to provide a firm culture that fosters growth and long-term success. Porzio’s commitment to diversity factors heavily in our recruitment and retention efforts. Team members with hiring responsibilities sit on our Workplace Diversity Committee and play direct roles in our initiatives.

We encourage our people to assume leadership. Personnel from all levels influence firm-wide policies through participation in groups such as the Administrative Services, Information Technology and Publication Review Committees. Our team members actively participate in our redesigned mentoring programs, seeking to provide positive role-modeling experiences for all. Also, to further increase affiliation between firm personnel, our people are encouraged to participate in internal and external affinity groups.
