In today’s 24/7 fast-paced global market, Todd Denys successfully balances the need to timely respond to his clients’ inquiries and meeting their legal needs while still taking the time required to fully understand both the legal and business implications of the advice that he provides.  This approach allows Todd to place his clients in the best possible position to succeed – both in the marketplace and in protecting their intellectual property.  Based on those skills, he has been recognized as a “very sharp trademark lawyer” in the World Trademark Review 1000 – The World’s Leading Trademark Professionals.

Todd specializes in counseling clients on all aspects of trademark matters, including the clearance of marks, prosecution of domestic and foreign applications as well as the maintenance of global trademark portfolios on behalf of individuals as well as companies of all sizes, including Fortune 500 entities.  Whenever required to protect his clients’ intellectual property rights, after consulting with the client to discuss business and legal implications, Todd vigorously enforces those rights and has an active litigation docket, representing clients before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the United States Patent and Trademark Office and in both state and federal courts.

As the “preferred counsel” for a number of foreign law firms, Todd is sensitive to the flat fee billing and other cost requirements dictated by overseas clients.  Because of this, he has successfully represented many clients in connection with Madrid-based United States trademarks.

His attention to detail serves him well in connection with intellectual property contractual and transactional matters, such as licensing, as well as the due diligence associated with the intellectual property aspects of product acquisitions and divestitures.

Todd is also actively involved in counseling clients on copyright issues and domain name management, including the litigation of copyright matters and domain name disputes.
