Telecommunications
In re Connectco—United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Represented this Chapter 11 Debtor which was a telecom company indebted to WorldCom for $100 million.
In re Dominican Communications—Represented the Debtor and reorganized this nationwide niche-telecommunication provider within 120 days of filing the Chapter 11 petition.
In re GlobalNet Corporation—United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Represented major equipment/software supplier and successfully negotiated a consent order which required the debtor to pay a substantial sum to the client within months of the bankruptcy filing in exchange for the client’s equipment.
In re Insilco—United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. Represented the Indenture Trustee in this Chapter 11 case of a major equipment supplier to the telecom and fiber optic industry.
In re Metromedia Fiber Network (MFN)—United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Represented the Chairman of the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in this Chapter 11 proceeding of the largest fiber-optic provider in the United States. MFN also had a substantial data center and networking business for web hosting customers much of which was sold during the Chapter 11.
In re National Telecommunications Corp.—Represented the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in this bankruptcy of the tenth largest long distance telephone company in the United States. We continue to represent the Liquidation Trustee post-confirmation and have recovered in excess of $3 million of avoidance action proceeds for distribution to unsecured creditors.
In re NorVergence, Inc.—Represent the Chapter 7 Trustee as Special Litigation Counsel in the liquidation of a national telecommunications company.
In re Skyview Media Group—Represent the senior secured creditor owed $130 million in the bankruptcy of a satellite television company.
In re Worldcom—United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Represent an unsecured creditor whose $60 million claim was objected to by the debtor.
In re Velocita/PFNet—Represented the secured lender in this bankruptcy of a dark-fiber company with 20,000 miles of fiber throughout the United States.
Healthcare
In re Centennial Healthcare—United States Bankruptcy Court Northern District Georgia (Atlanta Div.). Serve as special litigation counsel to the Debtor.
Major New Jersey Hospital—Represent a large North Jersey Hospital in an out-of-court restructuring of approximately $25 million in secured and unsecured debt.
In re MIXX Group—United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. Represent landlord of debtors’ primary business location.
Nursing Homes—Represent nursing homes and their operators in connection with Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings.
In re United States Workers of America Local 16 National Health Fund—Represented an HMO in a preference suit brought by the Chapter 7 Trustee and currently representing the HMO in pursuit of its administrative claim.
Manufacturing
Delawanna Plastics—Represent this plastics manufacturer in an out of court liquidation and distribution of assets.
In re Globe Manufacturing Corp.—United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Alabama. Represented the lenders in the $52 million sale of a spandex manufacturing business and negotiated releases for the lenders as part of the Chapter 11 plan.
In re Muralo—Represent the Official Committee of Unsecured Trade Creditors in this Chapter 11 case of a paint manufacturing company.
In re Valley Rivet—United States Bankruptcy Court for District of Maryland (Baltimore Div.) Represented the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in this bankruptcy proceeding involving a rivet manufacturer. We successfully helped oversee the sale of the company as a going concern, thereby preserving future business for their suppliers.
Chemical Companies
In re General Chemical—Represented the Debtor and successfully restructured $150 million of debt in this Chapter 11 bankruptcy of a calcium-chloride and soda-ash distributor.
Old Bridge Chemicals, Inc.—Represent the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the Chapter 11 proceedings of this chemical manufacturer.
Retail/Service Companies
In re Ames Department Store—United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York Represent several creditors in this national department store’s bankruptcy proceeding.
In re Broadway Trading—Serve as Special Litigation Counsel to the Liquidating Trustee in connection with pursuing avoidance actions.
In re Enron Corp.—United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Represent several defendants in preference/ fraudulent conveyance litigations brought by Enron Corp.
In re Euro—Serve as Special Litigation Counsel to the Chapter 7 Trustee in this printing company’s bankruptcy proceeding.
In re Omne Staffing—Represent client in defense of turnover action in excess of $700,000.
Trump Casinos—Serve as co-counsel for informal committee of noteholders owed approximately $500 million.
Video Games Company—Represented this $150 million-a-year developer, publisher and marketer of interactive entertainment software and accessories in an out of court work-out with a $7 million judgment creditor.
In re Workbench Furniture, Inc.—Represented the principal shareholder in this Chapter 7 liquidation proceeding of a retail furniture chain.
In re Zagaras—Represent the secured lender in the bankruptcy proceeding of a three-store supermarket chain.
