2/20/2024

Porzio, Bromberg & Newman is proud to announce that Raquel R. Rivera, Counsel in the Litigation group, has been selected as a Fellow for Lead New Jersey’s (LNJ) 2024 class. This recognition comes on the heels of Rivera’s selection and ongoing participation in the exclusive Latina Executive Leadership Program, an initiative by the Hispanic National Bar Association’s Latina Commission.

LNJ Fellows commit a year to engaging with professionals, exploring diverse perspectives on critical issues, and collectively working towards the future of New Jersey. LNJ is dedicated to fostering a strong network of well-informed leaders who strive to enhance the quality of life and work in the state. Achieving this mission involves practical leadership training, seminars featuring prominent professionals, and engaging civic opportunities that stimulate thoughtful discussions. The organization plays a crucial role in informing, transforming, and empowering the upcoming generation of leaders across the public, social, and private sectors.

In her role as Counsel in Porzio’s Litigation Group, Rivera brings extensive experience as a trial lawyer, specializing in the defense of large-scale entities in products and premises liability matters. Her practice also includes representing white-collar and employment defense clients in complex litigation, along with federal criminal defendants lacking adequate representation via the Criminal Justice Act.

Sharing her appreciation, Rivera said, “I'm honored to have been chosen as a Lead New Jersey Fellow and excited to meet and collaborate with new colleagues and contribute to Lead New Jersey’s goal of building informed leaders for our state’s betterment.”
