Patricia Prezioso is a Principal in the firm's Litigation Group and focuses her practice in the areas of employment defense, white collar criminal defense, and investigations.
Patti provides comprehensive counsel to companies ranging from the Fortune 500 to small businesses, looking to manage risk or facing claims from employees, running the gamut of allegations including discrimination, harassment, whistleblowing, retaliation, equal pay, FLSA claims and class actions, and alleged worker misclassification. She is well experienced in issues relating to restrictive covenants, as well as government or administrative agency investigations. In addition to defending employment lawsuits and claims, she provides and supports her clients on in-house investigations, responding to government subpoenas, environmental claims, and criminal allegations.
Patti's experience in the public sector has provided her with unique investigative and prosecutorial insight that she applies to her client's defense. Before entering the private sector, Patti worked for the New Jersey Attorney General's Office – Division of Criminal Justice, serving as Chief of Law Enforcement Services, Deputy Director and Executive Assistant Attorney General. She was the lead prosecutor in State V. McGuire, one of New Jersey's most infamous murder trials. Patti also served as an Assistant District Attorney at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, where she was both a designated homicide assistant and a member of the Sex Crimes Unit.
Patti has been named to the New Jersey Law Journal's 2016 list of "Top 20 Women in Law", honored by the state of New Jersey and the New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety with "Professional Achievement" awards and received the "Innovation in Government" award from the National Council of State Governments.
Patti frequently speaks on trial advocacy, trial preparation, discovery, and investigations and has been featured in news specials on ABC, NBC, CBS, and the Discovery Channel.
